ABOUT US
SAMUI REAL is an ad-hoc group of like-minded truth seekers that challenges dubious official narratives regarding certain events, people and places, offering alternative theories to make sense of the world. The group started in March, 2021 on the small island of Koh Samui in Thailand, roughly one year after the Covid-19 pandemic began and we physically meet IN PERSON once a week. We are inclusive, not exclusive. This means that we include those who are not necessarily knowledgeable about the subjects dealt with, but are curious and open-minded enough to want to come to a SAMUI REAL meeting to learn more about what is REALLY happening in the world. We abide by a code of conduct and a set of guiding principles included in our Mission Statement to ensure that we show mutual respect for each other and for all life forms.
WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE?
Our purpose is to raise our awareness by arming ourselves with knowledge and understanding through critical thinking, choosing to take personal responsibility for ourselves as individuals, and take collective responsibility for what is happening in the world. We are choosing to be the change that we want to see in the world by living our lives in a creative way rather than a reactive way. In short, the fundamental concept of SAMUI REAL is about building community by attracting like-minded people to our meetings and is NOT about trying to convert people who are already content with believing any official narrative presented to them. We have no ideological agenda other than building community in a peaceful and mindful way. We are a community, NOT a cult.
WHY THE NEED FOR A COMMUNITY GROUP OF TRUTH SEEKERS?
Every single person on the planet has been affected by the pandemic. We believe that millions of people instinctively feel that something is very wrong with the current state of the world. They have questions, observations, feelings and opinions about the pandemic, lock downs, mask mandates, wars, the economy and geopolitics, etc. In the last two years in particular, when people have applied critical thinking and tried to ask questions that challenge the official narrative, they have been outright shut down, or unable to find sympathetic ears amongst even their closest friends or family. They begin to feel isolated and alone.
Our group meetings provide a ‘safe haven’ or safe space for those people to come together and freely express their feelings, ideas and beliefs without fear of being ridiculed or judged. Knowing that you are not alone in your thinking gives you hope. Strength in numbers gives people hope. We believe that now, more than any other time in our history, it is crucial to have more of these community groups around the world. Therefore, we have decided to reach out globally to any other similar groups wanting to connect, or individuals wanting to start their own community group, but are not sure where or how to begin.
